MSM offers both in-person and virtual information sessions and tours to prospective students and their families. Both experiences provide a personalized window into our vibrant musical community and an overview of MSM’s exceptional academic programs, the application and audition process, and MSM’s world-class facilities. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at our newly renovated concert halls, performance, practice & learning spaces, libraries, dining facilities, residence hall, and student union. Students have the opportunity to meet with both our team of admission professionals and current students.

Manhattan School of Music is located in the academic heart of NYC’s Upper West Side at 130 Claremont Avenue, one block west of Broadway, and just north of 122nd St. It is conveniently accessible by public transportation.

Attend a Performance or Master Class

Each academic year features nearly 800 performances by our students and faculty. Master Classes are also held by internationally renowned artists who coach our students in a variety of repertoire.

Subway (1 train)

Manhattan School of Music is located between the 116th Street and 125th Street stations.

Bus

(M5, M4, M104, M60, M11) Several MTA bus lines stop within two blocks of the school: the M5 arrives at Riverside Drive, the M4 and M104 arrive at Broadway, and the M60 and M11 arrive at Amsterdam Avenue.

Metro North

Metro North trains stop at Harlem-125th Street. After exiting the train, board the M60 bus, making stops down Amsterdam Avenue.

Accessibility

Wheelchair and walker access to Manhattan School of Music is available through the Handicap Accessible Entrance located at 130 Claremont Avenue. Please enter through the door marked with the universal Handicap Accessible symbol. A doorbell at this entrance will alert a security guard to unlock the door. MSM’s Box Office and performance spaces, with the exception of Mikowsky Hall and Myers Hall, are handicap accessible. The cafeteria is not accessible.

Seating Requirements and Tickets

For wheelchair and walker accessible seating please call the Manager of Community Relations at 917-493-4536.

When purchasing tickets, please specify if you require a Wheelchair/Walker location or if you will be transferring to a theater seat. Seating locations are subject to availability.

Let us know in advance if you will be accompanied by a personal attendant or aide to reserve a complimentary adjacent seat.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance begins.
